I offer one-on-one counselling and psychotherapy to individuals.
Compassion, openness and freedom from judgement are fundamental to my practice – my role is to support you to grow and heal.
I will help you challenge old and unhelpful beliefs, develop greater self-awareness and acceptance, and mobilise your innate capacity for positive and lasting change.
- Sessions are 60 minutes long.
- Cost is $130 per session.
- Payment is due at the end of each session.
Best practice
I am committed to providing best practice in my clinical work with clients. This means that I continue to train, reflect on my work, and keep up to date with research and literature in the field of psychotherapy. I also receive regular supervision from a Christchurch-based NZAP supervisor, as well as Dr Steve Arthey from the Melbourne Centre for ISTDP.
An important part of best practice is reflecting on my work with clients. I confidentially video record all of my appointments, which are then stored for a brief time in a locked, password-protected folder. I then review these appointments to ensure that my clients get the most therapeutic benefit they can from our work together. This can involve both identifying areas where more work needs to be done, and where we have made progress. These tapes are then permanently destroyed.
It is very important that clients are informed about their rights to confidentiality and consent. I will discuss this with you prior to our first session to ensure you are happy to consent, and provide you with an information and consent form to sign.
